Aspiration

Aspire to your greatest self.

So far, we have become aware of our daily lives, habits, and emotions. We have accepted the reality of our current situation. We have spent time reflecting on and appreciating our past and the lessons we have learned.

Now is the time to examine your problem and find YOUR SOLUTION.

The best way to do this is to block off a period of time, as much as you feel comfortable, where you sit down with a pen and notebook and just write (or use a computer or phone).

Write down what you want to improve.

Write a big list, and get it all out on paper.

Write down all the lessons you have learned from your past and the skills you have gained, and find the positive in how you used to be.

Thank the past for its work.

It has supported you, but now is the time to learn a new dance.

What do you want for your future?

Write it down, don’t ask “how will I achieve this?” do not get overwhelmed in the journey of getting there, focus on the ULTIMATE GOAL.

Write it out, using all the senses and emotions. Define it in various ways with as much detail and energy as possible.

After you have written it all out, ask yourself this ONE question.

What is one thing you can do today to reach your goals?

Write down one thing as big or small as it is. If this is a HUGE change, start small! We don’t have to commit to an ultra marathon right away, why don’t we start with drinking more water, going for a walk, writing a sentence in a journal every day, or meditating for one minute?

Dream big, do not be afraid to go completely outside of your comfort zone.

My family on my Dad’s side have only died from heart attacks or suicide. The trajectory was always to obesity, ill health and eventual death. No one believed I could lose weight, not even my doctors. No one thought that I could improve my mental health. But I did.

I was able to because I BELIEVED IN MYSELF (and partially wanted to prove that it was possible). Dream and always aspire to MORE.

So, sit down with a journal, your computer, or your phone and write:

What would be my best life?

Envelop yourself in it. Feel it. See it. Be it.
